About Colin Beashel Marine
A history
Formerly Beashel’s Yacht Basin, the boatshed was purchased from Herbert ‘Bluey’ Ludgater by Ken and Barbara Beashel in 1962. The shed had no electricity, no garbage service and no water supply. They used Gas Lamps for light and ran a generator to power the bare essentials.
In 1984, the boatshed was completely re-designed and re-built in order to provide better handle the needs of the growing business. Exactly 10 years later, after working side by side as owners and operators, Ken stepped down from the business and Colin took the reigns.
Today, Colin Beashel Marine still operates out of that same yard in Elvina Bay. Colin and his team still pride themselves on being a family owned and operated company, and still uphold the tradition of fine craftmanship and attention to detail.
